Death, Bereavement and Continued Life

Teaching Webinar Hosted by Sal Gencarelle and Guest Oshada Jagodzinski

Saturday the 28th of Dec

12 noon Pacific Time.

We are a spirit with a body, not a body with a spirit. We are as much spirit now as we will ever be. Our spiritual essence lives through us, with us, around us, and inside us. Our spirit exists and lives now, right here, and continues to exist when our physical body ceases.

Physical death is determined when the heart no longer beats. Spiritually, death is determined when the silver cord that connects the spiritual body and the physical body is severed. The body remains behind, but the spiritual body continues to exist as it always has, unfettered by a body. Separating from the body is like taking off too-tight clothing or shoes. Death is a spiritual experience - it is a significant rite of passage of life.

For those left behind, coping with the physical loss of our loved ones is challenging. In the mainstream culture, we have not been taught how to grieve. We may feel abandoned and alone in our grief. Without understanding bereavement as a natural process, we may think that we are irrational, possibly even ‘going crazy,’ that we will never know joy again, or that we will never love again. Often, we confuse grief with depression and are encouraged to medicate our heartache away. We are told to hide our emotions and to get on with life because our grief makes others uncomfortable.

One thing is certain. At some point in time, we will all face the existential challenge of death. How we prepare for it in a healthy way will determine how we eventually meet this inescapable aspect of life. Bringing an awareness of death as a process of life will significantly support repairing modern cultures and how we live more fully because of it.

In this webinar, we will explore death, dying, bereavement, and continued spiritual existence.

Here is what we will cover in the webinar:

  • Understanding death
  • How do we become aware of our spiritual body and auric field
  • The role of breath in the beginning and the completion of the circle of physical life
  • How we can support loved ones that are getting ready to transition
  • The impact of death on the living
  • Common symptoms of grief; an understanding of which helps to normalize our process
  • Denial of grief: Lack of support for the bereaved in the dominant culture
  • Lineage exploration of the loss of a loved one
  • Reinventing ourselves and our commitment to life after loss
  • Communication with our loved ones on the spirit side of life
  • Honoring those who have gone before us
